Drum wont spin?

The machine fills with water once program is selected then you kinda hear a couple of relays doing or indeed trying to do whatever it is they do. Then nothing. Even if you just select a spin only program it only makes a whirring noise and still no spinning.

Any suggestions?
Many thanks

Have you any idea how many different makes & models of washing machines are on the market? All with different working parts that can fail or different problems specific to a model. If you want help then please tell us what make/model/top loader/ front loader you have.

Hi I would say your machine's brushes are done. This has happened to me twice before. You just need new brushes. I don't think they are too expensive, maybe £10 - £20. Then the cost of fitting them. My husband fitted mine and it's not too difficult. Brushes tend to wear out over a long period of time or because you are putting too big of a load into your machine causing your machine to work extra hard. Hope this helps.
