the drain comes on because there is an anti flood mechanism. This works by a polystyrene sheet lifting up onto a switch when water leaks into the bottom. You tilting the machine has displaced the water so the polystyrene floats back down again, temporarily until it fills up again. You need to find out why the water is leaking - could be a kinked or blocked hose. If you still decide to tilt the machine tilt it to the left (on the 40300 model) so that it does not touch the electrics on the right. The drain will always come on unless all the water has dried out or been removed. Obviously if you are unsure best call the service line.
