hygena extractor fan?

Hello,

my hygena APM2591 extractor fan stopped workiing. Pretty sure the PCB/switches have gone. I purchased a new PCB however it looks slightly different to the old one. The new one has a block at one end with N and L maked on it, the old one just had the wires directly soldered onto the PCB and no block at the end marked N and L.

Should i ignore the 'block' on the new one and just solder as before or do i solder the earth onto the same place as the existing board and then put L and N into the block on the PCB? Or just solder same into same places as per current PCB board? (Maybe the block is so the pcnb fits multiple models?)

Kelly, how did you remove the old pcb unit? Had the motor AND lights stopped working?

Hi Kelly, there are a few models of this pcb and it looks as if you have the wrong one for the model. You should have a W0000059 or on the packet after it will say w0000024.These have the live and neutral soldered in and the new ones are the block as you say.
To have the correct one would be best but I am sure that you can put the live and neutral in the block as it indicates.I do not think that the wiring is different or that there are a different number of wires. All the best.
