My question is my oven has failed and will not go above a certain low heat?

There is a picture of a cooking casserole on the timer which I can not get rid of.
Could this be the reason that the gas is not firing? It does not go above a certain heat, and so can not cook alot at all.
Can you help with an answer?

Hi
The fact that you are getting gas to the burner means that the clock is ok. The main reason for this problem is that part of the oven burner is blocked, not allowing the flame failure device to get hot. The FFD looks like a small tube that goes across the burner. Unblock any holes in the burner and that should do the trick. If not, replace the FFD.

Yes I seem to remember having to hold down for 4 seconds to set. But now cannot locate the manual. The cooking steam pot on...but low gas.
Didn't notice a problem till wanting to cook on high.
The RangaMaster Auto 55 Leisure mannual missing.
Anymore suggestions on getting the pot...not on timer?

Swict off the oven completely - switch back on and reset the clock timer - you usually have to hold two buttons (second and third from left) depressed while you press either the Plus or Minus to get the time correct - or nearly correct. Observe the little symbol above the central dot in the time display. An open dish with heat coming from it means, I think, HOT oven.
