dear poster...i found your mistake while trying to find answers to mine. we all do it. ....i love diy and dislike parting with cash to repair (men) who charge the earth to turn spanner once. i proudly own a very old dryer that has outlived 7 sparkly new washers in the last 13 years. and diy repairs have only been needed twice. unfortunately, this last time, i wisely noted the wiring order of the heating element i have replaced, but i foolishly threw out the box i had written on. so now im tossing coins to decide whether i risk a guess or not. three wires, three connections. if i get one right the others are 50/50. ....am i brave enough. stupid enough? maybe? wish me luck. .......... keep on with the diy. you cant risk assess everything or you'd never be born.
