how can i fix qualcast 35s petrol lawnmower?

my petrol qualcast 35s will not make any attempt to start. I have tried earthing the spark plug and can not see any spark.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong

Change the plug - worked for me

Try a new plug, then a new plug cap. If you still have no spark, it's likely that your ignition coil has failed. It's a common failure,and I'm afraid there's no work-around.
