dog damaged leather sofa?

dog has eaten a large section from the seat of my leather sofa. ive been adviced to buy a thow for it, as its old and will cost alot to repair, i was wondering if i managed to get a piece of leather, i could patch it, for now until we buy a new 1, (when the dogs gone) is there a glue strong enough to hold a seat patch down? i dont care how it looks anythings better than a huge hole.

Call Dr. Sofa he can help you...
He fixes old damaged furniture for reasonable prices. He even has emergency same day service. You won't have to get rid of it and buy a new one if you call Dr. Sofa he'll make that one just like new. Check him out on the web at www.drsofa.com or give him a call at 1-888-8-DRSOFA

i repair damage as you have for a living, the best way to sort you problem is to call at a local furniture shop and get an old leather swatch, match the best colour out of the old pieces, and simply buy the bostik leather glue on ebay, this will hold no problem

oops! Glue is unlikely to hold it but if you want to give it a go...use a heavy duty contact adhesive. Be prepared for a mess!

Sew in a patch - get an alternative cushion - glue on a patch but the glue line will probably not hold if the patch is stressed - get a new sofa - fix the hunger/boredom of the dog.
