Fisher and paykel 708 inner bowl question?

My F&p Kelvinator smart drive 708,

is there ment to be water in the white plastic top and bottom tanks on the inner bowl?.

the machine almost never spins without crashing and banging, then most of the time beeps with unbalanced load, while you do expect this from time to time, it does it almost every load.

now when I pulled it appart to see if I can find the problem.
when I removed the inner bowl, I noticed both the top and bottom plastic sections have water in them,

I hear it splashing around(there's a lot in there), is there ment to be water in these bits?(I thought they were floats), but maybe the water is ment to help balance?

I'm guessing if there is not ment to be water in there at all, then that would be why it gets unbalanced all the time.

Thanks
Ryan

Answer is yes. Water is in there to help with the balance when spinning. The floating is done by air trapped under the bowl. Check your machine is level & the spring is in place on the front left corner to keep bowl away from the out of balance lever on the right rear corner. If you do a lot of heavy loads you may find the suspension rods on each corner are getting weak & may need replacing.
