Stripping a McCulloch MD 320 i A/V?

How do you remove the centrifugal clutch which is positioned in front of the plastic cowling? Does it just slide off or has the previous owner 'glued' the clutch to the shaft? i can't shift it and as far as I can see, the two parts of the clutch have to come off the shaft somehow in order to get to the ignition goodies.

To stop the crankshaft from rotating, remove the spark plug and thread some cord* into the cylinder, rotating the crankshaft using the 5/32 allen key until the cord stops any further rotation. Using a screwdriver to snag the flywheel may cause damage to you and more importantly, the flywheel, or its housing.*Don't forget to keep one end of the cord out of the cylinder barrel!

Found the answer. The clutch assembly is held in place by a captive bolt hidden in the squared-off tube into which the end of the flexible drive shaft fits. The bolt is loosened by a 5/32" hex wrench. once this bolt is loosened the clutch assembly simply lifts straight off.
Simple, when you know how!!
