Consequenses Of Removing Vehicle battery?

Hi, I have a 2002 Fiat Punto Active 1242cc Petrol.
Due to parking location I am unable to charge the battery in situ and need to 'remove' it to charge overnight or even longer (digital intelligent charger can be left of for weeks) what are the consequenses of leaving the battery off of the vehicle say for 3 days, (digital tachometer etc etc etc) Thanks in advance.

Thanks Bucko - sounds good, will try that ... T battery is fine, it is just the vehicle can stand for 8 days with no use (a waste really) but just moved into town and its quicker to walk, and only really gets very short runs .. BIG drain on the battery - new or old!! Thanks anyway

You can keep things alive, like the radio, by connecting a 12v DC supply through the cigar lighter socket - then remove the battery.

You can make your own "memory keeper" with some wire, battery holders, batteries and an extension lead that fits the lighter socket. You need to be handy with a soldering iron and take care to get the polarity correct.

In the UK Maplin will sell all the bits you need. Eight C batteries in two holders in series should do it.

Commercial memory keeper devices are also available but very difficult to find. Sealy / Draper £25 / £13

You should fix the real problems which is that your battery should not need charging so much. Buy a new one.
