my van suspension as gone down at one side on the rear i thinksomthing to do with torsion bar. is there a easy way to correct or repair. how do i go about it...
My suspension collapsed I changed the dampers but it looks like the torsion bars have stripped, how do i sort this the bushes were changed a few months ago

bitch of a job ford has a special tool to help, basicly take the axle off and heat the swinging arm ends where the torsion bars go in to and beat them off!

any one kno anybody round bristol or 50 mile radius who will give a price to do my rear bushes on my courier van no one wants to touch it because its a torsion bar set up most garages are saying we will do it but wont give me any idea of cost wat do they think im a lotto winner with open check book

yes i have the sam problem... massive job... scrap the van lol... i in the middle of doing mine, i have he complete axle off at the moment to do the axle bushes and oh my god there a bitch, good luck

Is it not coil springs on you van?
Remove the strut with the broken spring. Clamp the spring remove the strut. Release the the spring clamps.Clamp the new spring. Refit spring to strut.Release clamps. Refit strut.
Just be careful when working with tensioned coil springs!
