My Hoover HD is 13 months old and have just had to have a new module fiitted - the Hoover Engineer said that he did not have one on the van as he had just used it for someone else - anyone else having problems

I hope you've contacted the retailer rather than the supplier. Despite it being over 12 months old the washer should have lasted a lot longer than that and they should be paying for the repairs.

The 12 month period isn't a legally fixed period - it's jut a figure plucked out of the air by the retailer/manufacturer. "In addition to your statutory rights...".
