Are you sure the water pump is the problem? I had the pump on my Punto changed twice by two different mechanics who diagnosed the problem incorrectly. What are the symptoms which make you think it's the water pump? Before you do it try the solution I suggested to Verjayne in September on this forum (page 13, titled "Fiat Punto Gauge shows Overheating").
