Can you fix a phone which was water damaged a couple of days ago without bringing it in to the store? I don't have the money to get it professionally fixed.

Water doesn't damage your phone it's the current from the battery which causes a host of problems..

If you got it wet, took the battery out & it hasn't gone back in you should be fine, if you put the battery back in then you could have problems but all depends on how long the battery has been back in there for?

disassemble the phone, get the circuit board (PCB) out & do a water damage repair BEFORE replacing the battery. Would take too long to explain how it's done so just google it, you should have the products at home.
