Why is Cannon cooker igniters clicking all the time when ovens lit. ?

We have a Cannon Camberly Mk 3 gas cooker. Works like a dream, except when either the top or main ovens are alight, the ignitors on the hob etc. keep sparking non stop. The ovens both light and run perfectly. Do I need a new Ignitor box, or is the problem likely to be in the panel behind the Knobs?

I purchased a new Cannon Carrick gas cooker, that had the same fault, it was replaced 5 times and they said that there was a design fault in the ignition system. The fifth one was ok as it had a revised system. Its nearly 5 years old now and the oven ignition has started to intermittently fail.

this is a common fault with these type of cookers the answer is to replace the small black micro switch which is behind the gas knobs area, you have to take the top of the cooker off first the plate under the for burners this gives you easy access, the micro switch is available from gas suppliers such as gas fix although it is an electrical switch and nothing to do with gas, usual cost is £7-8
