I have renewed the black cartridge and now I cannot print in black. Test pages and cleaning nozzles etc have not helped. I am using up all my colour cartridge by trying all these solutions. I am not a whizz with computers or printers, but always follow instructions to the letter. Please can anyone help, I am running out of patience, and I usually have loads of it.

Any error messages?
I’ve always used a bit of white spirit to clean clogged up ink cartridges.
Try and let it soak in to the cartridge nozzle, as this will help dissolve any congealed ink.
Plus you can also use it to clean up the metal contacts just in case there’s anything blocking those.

One other thing, and don’t take offence, did you take off the little bit of plastic covering tape before you installed it?
