Gave up trying to fix this and called Baumatic to get an engineer out. He walked in, took one look and said that he knew exactly what the problem was. He pulled the oven out and did up a couple of screws near the power cable and that was it.
The paperwork took about three times longer than the fix.
He said that it was a common problem so i was a bit annoyed with the £88 bill. However, when we (my wife)questioned Baumatic they, very decently, said that they would not charge for the repair.
The lesson here is if you're not happy with a service, get the wife involved.
