My fan oven started cutting out a few minutes after turning it on. The display went out along with the temp light and oven light (top oven and grill continued working). Originally, switching off and on at the wall restarted the display but as soon as you turned on the oven the same problem occurred.
Now the display and the lights are permanently off, the fan does not turn and the oven does not heat up. The top oven seems ok.
Any ideas?

Gave up trying to fix this and called Baumatic to get an engineer out. He walked in, took one look and said that he knew exactly what the problem was. He pulled the oven out and did up a couple of screws near the power cable and that was it.
The paperwork took about three times longer than the fix.
He said that it was a common problem so i was a bit annoyed with the £88 bill. However, when we (my wife)questioned Baumatic they, very decently, said that they would not charge for the repair.

The lesson here is if you're not happy with a service, get the wife involved.
