My Zafira 2002 needs a diesel fuel pump (with ecu i think) and someone has told me it'll cost near £2000...... Anyone know if this is correct????

Pre 2003 Zafira Dti Pumps are cheaper to replace, you can get completely refurbished ones from Bosch for around £600 or second hand on Ebay for £200-£300 theres a guy on there prepared to fit one for £150 if you buy from him. You need to match the last 3 digits of the pump number for your car to run, it starts 0470 504 *** the numbers are usually 002, 003, 015

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but a friend of mine had an astra diesel ( same engine ) that needed a new pump costing over £1000 & ecus are around 5-600 plus dealer recoding .
