timming belt?

have replaced timming belt but having props with timming marks can anyone help

this method works for most machines with a single cam only twin cam needs more brain cells used up

try to identify #1 cyl
put #1 cyl on TDC
turn cam shaft around so that it rocks on overlap
you may have to turn crank around a bit to facilitate this!
between inlet valve open and exhaust valves closing then turn the crank around one full turn, the cam will turn half a revolution, are there any timing marks or notches lining up with machined faces on cyl head?

if you are not 100% sure do not under any circumstances start your machine

and a good thing to do these days with the proliferation of digital cameras it to take photos of anything b4 you pull it apart!
