HOW DO YOU BLEED LINKED BRAKES ON A HONDA ST1300 PAN EUROPEAN?

Had binding brakes so took calipers off and cleaned them up but cannot get them to work properly. have tried bleeding but must not be doing it right.

Does your Pan have combined breaking fitted?

Couple of sugestions bearing in mind that both calipers must be beld at the same time.Crack and just finger tighten the nipples then remove calipers.Using a pair of small g clamps push the pistons back into the calipers letting the fluid come out of the nipples, then bleed as normal, letting the lever snap back(dislodges stray master cyl bubbles). Then check for solid brake,if good then remove clamps and refit calipers.Recheck,if lever is now soggy renew pads and recheck(uneven pad wear can be mistaken for air). The other method I've used for problems is to inject fliud using a syringe into the bleed nipple itself, this pushes all the caliper fluid, air and all back up to the master.Needs a syringe obviously.Again,if pads are worn then renew them, uneven pads make getting a solid lever impossible.too much flex as they twist to fit.
