REMOVING BACK OF COOKER!?

Hi All,
I have a Diplomat ADP0540 gas cooker. I need to remove the metal backing as a dead rat has fallen in through the fan!! It is beginning to stink sick! Can some1 please guide? I am a female. Will I be able to remove the back with ease.
