I recently acquired an Electra 37290 drier. It worked fine the first couple of times I used it, but now it doesn't heat up. Everything else seems to be alright. The filter has not been cleaned since I got it and I wondered if that could affect the heating but I thought probably not and I don't know how to remove/clean the filter. Please can you help a desperate mother of 3 with no dry days in Scotland to dry clothes? Thanks

Glad I saw this!! Think ours was caused by the hose being 'kinked'. Took out the faulty thermostat, pushed a needle through the back & hey presto it went click & is now working properly.

this is very easy

make sure you unplug the machine to start with

remove the back cover on your dryer

and u will see 2 thermistats you will need to test these and the one that is broken you need to drill a hole through or there could be a reset switch at the back.

either way this will reset the dryer and it will get hot

is the filter not just inside door just apull out screen
also check back of dryer most have red button which is cutout switch just press in
but remember something caused the problem try to find filter got to have one somewhere
