This morning when I tried to unlock my Scenic using the keycard it would not open. I tried using my spare keycard but it still refused to open. I have changed the batteries with no effect. When I open the car manually using the emergency key, and insert the keycard into the slot it starts fine and it does not display any error associated with the keycard on the dash display. I cannot believe that both cards have failed at the same time. Has anyone got any advice on this?

Hi there it is possable that both cards are faulty on the central locking operation and ok on the starting function , the best way is to take it to the renault dealer and see if they might give a contribution towards a new key if they say it is faulty, and they will say how much they are willing to pay , due to the fact it is a 05 plate and its only just out of its warrenty ,hope this helps .
