My pqi 4GB pendrive records only partially. It gives some message during the course of recording such as "too deep to copy" or "write protected"

possibly a fake drive, fake pendrives are digitally remastered to show a greater capacity then there actually is.
use H2testw 1.4 from www.ctmagazin.de to show the drives true capacity.
