Thanks Paul, the top came off fine & the silver pin didn't seem to be jammed, I guess from what you said earlier it may mean I need a new Thermostat. But will wait & see if it improves! Thanks for all your advice & the explanations were great....just my brain is a little dense on DIY! Lol
