Hoover Legacy 740 How to remove fan impeller?

The Fan impeller broken on my vacuum. getting a new part is about 11 bucks, but I can not figure out how to remove the old one from the motor. Any hints/tips?

It is left handed thread - so twisting it clockwise will actually loosen it.

Hole the belt side of the shaft in a vise or plier, and twist the fan clockwise. It takes a lot of rotations, but it does come out.
