Hi, Just noticed someone had a question about the Sharp XE102, we purchased this model yesterday as we are setting up new business in three weeks time, and it appears we might have the same problem, we would like to set up three departments, but just cannot figure how to do it...manual not very good for this!! Why does it talk about A,B,C, etc when there are only numbers on keypad? Appreciate some help.

how do you program the tax on this thing?
instructions are not very good and they are such small font that you can hardly read them.

Hi, I already have the cash register programmed for key 3 to compute the tax, then I hit the square key and the draw opens and I get a total. How am I able to enter the amount the customer gives me so it will calulate change.

Panic over! We've sorted it, It's amazing what a good nights sleep does... we were'nt even looking to programme anything different, we just did'nt realise it was already programmed!!!!. I do agree with you though, manual makes it look more difficult than it is. Thanks for your offer of help.

I can help with this model. The departments should be ready to go unless you want some special programming on them. If you tell me what you need, I can tell you how to progarm them. The manuals are written for programmers, so they are hard to understand. Don't worry, we'll get there.
