loud thump several minutes after shutdown?

worcester 24i combi RSF .boiler is working fine, but after shutdown and about 5 minutes after the heat dissipation phase has finished, a loud disturbing thump is heard! any ideas?

I have the same problem when I turn mime on, stops after about 10/15 mins then starts up again. Thought it was air in system so bleed all the rads & topped the water up as noticed it was lower than norm, none of which have solved the problem.
