hi i have a 98 reg speedfight that i want to get dersitricted however i am not sure that my model is the sme as the ones you are describing how to deristrict,it has the standard exhaust on it which i have already deristricted by cutting of the the pipe, but im not sure what restrictions my ped has got on it still i have heard some stories about it being the washer and the variator but im not sure what my model has, can anyone, tell me how i would deristrict my ped thanks joe

the front variator pully has a spacer between the the two discs which move in or out according to engine speed,with a spring holding them apart at rest,and the drive belt at bottom of v the spacer stops the discs closing completley,thus stopping the belt moving out to the outer edge of discs thus limiting speed by gearing alone.remove spacer but re use spring

hi glen it goes around 37 on flat downhill around 43 and wat restriction is on the variator thnaks

how fast does it go,as if you are getting 50mph its not restricted,but it often done by the variator
