How can I remove the wiper arm on ford focus T REG?

My front wipers have stopped working but the motor is still running so I believe the external arm has become disconnected from the internal arm? To check this I need to remove my wiper arm to lift a cover. How do I do this?

Its probably just come loose, try tightening the nut under the cover at the base of the arm, it just pulls up.
