When you say 'repair' the timing belt do you mean the old one has snapped? If yes then it will be quite expensive as the Vectra has what is known as an 'interference engine'. This means if the belt fails then it is almost certain there will be damage to the cylinder head and valves. The failure is usually caused by poor maintenance, not replacing the belt to the reccommended service schedule, or the water pump has failed. The water pumf forms part of the pulley system for the cam belt so if it fails the belt goes loose, the timing slips and the valves go to heaven. Sorry. If the belt simply is due for replacement then your local garage should be able to do it for betwen £150 and £200
