how can i fix my ford mondeo?

i have a ford mondeo on a "p" carrying a endura de 1.8 diesel engine... the problem is on odd occasions if i blip the throttle the revs increase hair rasingly high and then die down to tick over what's the problem?

I have problem with heating and cooling. Same time I have cooling and after I wound a start heating but still working cooling. I can't start heating and contrary too. th.

Further to my previous answer: Keep an eye on your oil level to see if it mysteriously increases up the dipstick. This may confirm that fuel is entering the oil. Too much oil may cause you problems to.

I also previously owned a "p" mondeo td and experienced a similar problem. I'm no mechanic but what I remember about the problem was that the uncontrollable revs were caused by fuel and oil mixing. This was caused by deterioration of a rubber non-return valve in the turbo(about 50p) Unfortunately I had to replace the Turbo with a second hand unit. I think the garage charged me about £50
