I have a warning light on in my peugeot 205 telling me there is water in the fuel filter and I need to purge it. How do I "purge the water"? Should I just replace the fuel filter (60k apx miles since last change) and if so, how do I do that?

There's a water drain valve at the bottom of the housing if you have the one with the long allen bolt going through it. just unbolt it from it's housing and it should lift out.

Best replace it changing it is easy enough there is several types tho depending on age 1 type requires the removal of 4 allen key screws and lifting the top off the other popular type requires the removal of a long bolt that goes right through the filter this is the harder 1 to change as aligning it up again after is tricky one other thing to note is the water sensors are very prone to becoming faulty Peugeot no longer use these sensors for this reason
