In addition to Jack of All trades answer, a 38mm single hex socket will fit and do the job as easy and far cheaper than buying a special tool.

its inside the plastic housing with the hex shaped nut on it, located at the bottom of the engine just in front of where the sump plug is. it is really old school type filter and the plastic housing is reusable so careful not to damage as you remove. you can get special tool to remove it(cheapest i seen is on ebay) or with a bit of care and persuasion it can come off. question is if you cant figure out where it is do you want to try and change it yourself without the right tools or someone showing you first as i am sure it is your work horse.
