cleaning the gold contacts on top of the psp beside the usb port and inside the camera port worked for me - a little alcohol and a small brush works great -

check the two gold pins on the PSP Go camera and the two little holes where the contacts are supplying power to the camera... its likely to be dirty and therefore no power is being supplied to the camera. clean the contacts and the pins and presto! I had the same problem once, tried firmware updates but no go, tried hoovering the usb port like someone suggested but still no go, tried it on a borrowed unit and cam worked! suspected power supply issue, cleaned the contacts and presto!

I had this problem once with my go cam, which is a Sony product. I hoovered out the usb connector with a pc hoover & it was fine. Hope this helps..
ps, you could use an ordinary hoover still.

I dont have an answer for the error, all i am wondering is if you are to use just a regular camera (digital) or if you buy some special camera from sony?
