I have replaced the heating element and could only attach it to 2 of the 3 brackets that hold it on. I put it all back together and now it seems noisier and within a couple of minutes was giving off a burning smell, What have I done wrong? Could the smell be the new ness of the heating element. I'm too scared to touch it now

why have you only mounted heater using 2 brackets.you need all 3 plus screw at heater connector end with wiring guide fitting.sounds like you have incorrectly positioned element some how
