I have a 5 ring hob, the middle being a wok burner however the gas flame on 2 rings are significantly reduced (hence longer cooking time) and not all rings ignite. Perhaps i've been cleaning the hob a little to meticulously !. Also the rings are beginning to rust. The hob is barely 4 years old.

Please help, it's driving me insane!.

I have done what you recommend and still not working this plate the biggest has only been used about 10times as it is too large for me now when I wanted to use it this is what happens the flame is large but just goes out after a few minutes, it is clicking all way round and then goes off.

Have a gas/elect stove the biggest ring is not working it ignites but when control knob is released the burner goes off.

The injector nipples may be partially blocked on the two burners that are not functioning correctly. Remove the burner and youll find a very small hole where the gas comes from.
using a pin or something similar try to ream out the hole. it might be partially blocked with burnt spillage or cleaning agents.

if the rings dont ignite, make sure that you have a spark. if you do, clean out the burner ports close to the ignition point with a hacksaw or similar, taking care not to cut the metal, just the build up of grime/soot. make sure that the right burner discs are over the right burners. if you get them mixed up when cleaning, the wrong sized burner disc will stop the ignition process.
if theres no spark, buy a lighter as its quite expensive to replace the ignition system..
