HELP WITH MYSON HOUSEWARMER?

Need some help with a Myson Housewarmer 55 electronic. No ignition. No manual. I am corgi registered and went to look at this boiler. checked all the obvious and came to the conclusion, possible PCB, but wondered if anyone with a greater knowledge on this type of BBU could throw some light on the subject. The PCB is the one mounted on the side of the back boiler not the later red type at the front. Listed as Thorn PCB. There is no sparking at the electrode, but if you remove the multiplug off the top of the PCB it then starts sparking, but does not open the gas valve. I suspect because the plug is disconnected ? Any ideas, I dont want to just jump at a PCB as it is a special order and PCB's are not returnable. Thanks for any help.

Any ideas how to light back boiler own house so just new to all this

Well, I changed the very expensive ignition control box at the side of the back boiler. But no change from before. Pilot light ignites, but there is 10 sec before the gas valve is actuated and the boiler ignites. But it then turns off again after about a minute. It's as though the controller goes into the 60sec shutdown mode when it thinks ignition has failed. Why? Maybe it's something to do with the electrode.

I have economy 2 back boiler and the boiler keeps switching off. It lights up fine and can run well for week before it switches off but since side out temp has drop the problem has started to get worse and with the CH on it goes off every couple of hours. Any ideas of what the problem is?

Thanks for the advice, checked external controls and wiring. Got some checking procedures from Potterton and still pointing to PCB. FGound a supplier who sells reconditioned part for £35.00 + vat and carriage so going to take the plunge. Not so much to gamble at that price. Fingers crossed eh?

These are a nightmare.Even British Gas took them off their list as the PCBS were so damn expensive.Check the fuse on the PCB as ive had a few of them go but what a daft place to put one, right where the flames and water can get at them
