Is it possible to repair my 2 year old Smeg Hob?

There appears to be a gas leak coming from somewhere on the hob. I pulled out the integrated oven from under the worktop, isolated the gas supply before the hob and the smell of gas went away. Having sprayed soapy water onto the gas pipes leading up to the hob I found no bubbles etc and so believe it to be the hob and not a connection that is at fault. The hob is 2 and 1/2 years old and was fitted when the house was built. Can it be repaired or do I simply have to replace?

Check the leak isnt on the elbow connection to the hob. They are always the favourite. To be honest if the leak is on the hob its just as cheap to start again with a new one.
