husqvarna 41 dies @ idle?

Dear tech,
After leaving my saw in the weather I replaced my ignition and it started right up. However it will only run w/ the choke halfway out and when warmed up it will only run at higher rev. When I back the throttle down toward an idle the saw dies.

What do you think?
Thanks, Robert Ellis

As it turns out, after inspecting gaskets, I adjusted the low idle screw a quarter turn clockwise and bingo, back to normal. Thanks for your response, sawtech

How long has it been since the saw has been running.Sounds like you may have a crankcase leak.Def carb is having problem with pulse for botom fuel pump at inlet needle screen.pull off carb.check to see if rubber gaskets have hardened up.also do the quick check on the fuel line.pinch together to see if it sticks when pinched.
