Sorry

The web page for instructions is www.international-dyson.com.

Also the screws you will only need to turn the screws a quarter turn to remove the sole plate to be able to access the brush bar and drive belt.

You can get belts off Ebay for around $4 or $5.

Probably a bit late in the day, but to change a belt you need to turn over the dyson and remove the three plastic screws using a coin or large screwdriver.

Remove the brush bar and the belt should slip off.

The motor spindle which drives the belt is just above the brush bar on the RH (viewed from below).

You will need to replace the belt about every one to two years.

Further instructions are available on www.internationaldyson.com.

Amazed (or not) that we seem to be the first to respond.

We were just informed by an ex-dealer that he quit carrying the Dyson because of the belt. It would have cost us $125. to have another installed. The dealer said that you could expect to replace it every 2 years and that it wasn't worth the aggrevation.

We can't even see how to 'open' the machine to have a look-see.

We're going out this afternoon, 7-04-06, to buy a Serbo
