Vauxhall Vectra LS 2000?

I had a problem getting gears into place,got them into 3rd gear to get home,then clutch went loose.Any ideas as to what might be wrong.

check cable if it is cable, if its hydrolic clutch
(no cable) possibly the thrust bearing but you may aswell change all clutch part's as you may need to remove all to access this part, best of luck
