I have an Electrolux tumble dryer model EDC5330 that stops with the code 50 on the panel. It restarts fine but stops after a few minutes with the same code.

Take off the top and right side panel. Measure the motorcapacitors (should be 2µF and 6µF, otherwise change them). Use only motor-drive caps. Unscrew the front panel and take out the circuit board (remember to mark the connectors). Exchange the three small Omron G5LE-1-VD relays that there are (requires soldering), I used Finder 36.11.9.012 relays instead. Works like a charm.
Still starting problems? Please check that the relay on the inside of the back panel works when its starting.

there is a capacitor that starts the motor and this becomes faulty and causes this type of fault.take side panel off on right hand side as you look at it from the front and you will see this part mounted near the motor
