How can I fix my DC988?

I have a DeWalt DC988 Type 1 XRP 1/2" cordless drill/driver/hammerdrill with a keyless chuck that is locked up and stripped out. I pulled the center screw out of the chuck, but the chuck assembly won't come off. Don't know if I'm missing something or if I need to pry harder.

Put a large allen wrench inside the chuck and wedge in so it is stuck. Then take a hammer and hit the handle part of the wrench. Also spray WD40 down inside to loosen up the threads.

after taking out the screw the chuck must be removed by unscrewing it from the shaft, clockwise I think (L/H thread).
