i have the engine code b2227. i have been told it is the front crash sensor. where exactly is it, how can it be repaired, reset or where is best place to get one and how much?

I have recently had a problem with my focus 1.6 petrol The airbag light came on and ihad it checked the problem was the front crash sensor it is located under the locking panel in the cenre with 2 8mm screws.I got one in my local car breakers for £20 i hope this will help. robert hawthorne.

hi i have a ford fiesta tdci 03 plate ive done all the repairs to the car i tried to reset the air bag light cleared the code then it comes back on ...... then i search for any fault.. then a code came up faulty crash sensor does anyone know where is the crash sensor located on ford fiesta tdci 03 plate???

Crash sensor is located under the slam panel . If you remove the the intercooler plastic cover you will see two 10mm bolt heads. These secure the sensor in place. To get to the sensor out you need to drop the radiator carrier to allow enough room to get the sensor out when you have undone the two bolts. unplug it and replace with a new sensor . If that is the only fault the airbag light will go out when ignition is switched on
