FITTING ALARM?

i dont understand the instructions for portman AM-570E
PETER CRANIE, October 2008
So today the vibration sensor box was fitted in the hollow section behind the door hinges (within a foot of the blue and clear circuit contol box)and the interior movement sensors in situ.Valet button inside glove box after drilling a hole. So, not wanting options of flashing 'lamps',trunk release, door RTG-&+ switches (which would more suit bonnet & boot) or starter motor isolation I connected to battery using an in line fuse to be safe and pressed the key fob. Presto-sounds off ok when hitting window & ultasonics sense interior movement, That'l do nicely- BUT- then disarms ok to drive away, it resets itself automatically- disarm again- arms automatically again. Can't cope and pull the fuse. Read distuction 10th time, pack up for another day. really did'nt expect spending a weekend trying to fit this. Think the option of ignition switch relay has to be fitted as it keeps being mentioned in the book' but after looking at the ignition switch the 03 micra only has 2 thin wires to connect into. Is this like snipping the bomb wire ? except the cars brain box goes phut and the garage says big bill ? LET THEM NICK IT -ME THINKS.

Just got round to fitting a christmas pressy of a maplins portman alarm. Failed today. What a bag of mashings it is , no clues as what box to fit where. Obviously the alarm sounder has to go under the bonnet but then the wiring limits the distance to the clear/blue circuit board main box that looks like it will not survive under the bonnet. So thead through to inside the car through the big wiring harness rubber grommet and mount it under the glove box, this might restrict the aerial effectiveness but whats the option? This allows flashing LED to be stuck somewhere within wire length on the dash. Will try the internal movement sensors for fitting tomorrow. Not an easy fit , rather change the clutch.
