removing CV driveshaft?

1990 Ford Tempo Automatic driver side CV shaft.
I have the shaft fully loose except for the in joint connected to the Trans.
I have tried pulling and even putting a cheater bar hooked to a chain and the Axle shaft for extra leverage.
i TRIED BUT CAN'T GET MUCH IF ANY LEVERAGE BETWEEN THE iNNER jOINT and the trans-- not enough room for any pry bars.
I thought I had to pull hard outward then use a pry bar between trany and inner joit and pop it off
Not working.
Is there any inner "pin that I have to get to with the trany oil pan off??

could be wrong coz i dont know the car... but usually there is an intermediate bearing on one side of the car. This is fitted if there is a transverse engine fitted and one of the driveshafts is longer than the other. Two bolts retain this bearing... FG sake dont use too much force as the bearing housing will snap.
