Almera key Fob problems?

I have a Nissan Almera 1.4 2002. The Keyfob suddenly stopped working the central locking although the key itself operates perfectly. I renewed the battery - no change. Is there a seperate fuse for the fob? or is there another problem? I have checked and cleaned the terminals in the fob, it has not got wet or been dropped or knocked.

Tried the solution provided by Sandy, worked first time, again rang Nissan, just to keep them honest and was quoted €75.00, to drop in and have the fob re-aligned......this is the second fix on my 2004 Almera that I have found in WWW.HOWTOMENDIT.COM.....seriously class website.

Hi Peter,

Go to: WWW.programyourkeys.com and follow the re-synchronisation procedure for your Key Fobs. Has sorted my problem on my Navara after letting fob battery run flat and having changed it. All a bit fidly but works great now.

Best of Luck.

Have the same problem with my Navara, I think the key fob needs synchronised afte changing battery or if it runs flat, still trying to work out how this is done myself - best of luck.
