I've just bought a Jade 2 9.5Kw shower and I have the same problem.
The response from Triton is ' Have you got 240v supply to the shower?'
Well, number 1 how do I check, number 2 I think its fairly common knowledge that most power supplies fail to achieve 240 v on a regular basis and some are as low as 230v.
How can Triton use this as an excuse? Surely they should build tolerance into their systems or make it properly clear on the packaging that their showers may not work on mainland UK voltages?
I am awaiting a Triton engineer who is going to cost me another £50 for the call out charge.
Not a cheap shower!
