are there any ohv. diesels out there?

me and the missus both drive pug diesels as a rule they pleas on all points and i know them well but wen it comes time for the belt change the whole system and intescity of attencion and maintenance of the belt and two pullys and a water pump every 50.000 miles is realy p*ssing me off not to menchon the bill for parts alone around 90quid , so does anyone know if there are any push rod ohv diesels old style about pleas some one must know

Nissan still uses a chain drive for some of its overhead cam petrol and diesel vehicles. The Nissan Sunny used a chain driven double overhead cam and would still be serviceable after 200,000 miles. Why chain drive isnt universally used is a mystery. Ive ever known a chain drive on a single or even double overhead cam to break even when the chain is stretched beyong serviceability
